Wilmington, Delaware, July 27, 2006—Aloysius Butler & Clark (AB&C), a Delaware-based, full-service marketing communications firm, with more than two decades of health care marketing experience, has captured two gold Astrid Awards and been named a Grand Winner.

The Loyola University Health System 2005 annual report took top honors in the international competition as Grand Winner, best of annual reports, nonprofit. Elements of the judging process for the prestigious award included originality of design concept, effective use of typography, creative use of color, originality of illustration or photography, success in defining the character of the organization, and overall success in achieving the described purpose. Selected from more than 500 entries from 18 countries and judged by a panel of design professionals, the annual report—designed and written by AB&C for Chicago area–based Loyola—also won a Gold Award.

An 80th anniversary commemorative keepsake book created by AB&C for Holy Name Hospital to mark the hospital’s 80th anniversary won a Gold Award as well, in the 16th annual international competition. Working with photographer Peter Tepper, AB&C created a book that told the story of Holy Name Hospital through people in the community connected to the hospital. The stories—from the CEO and his four sons who were born at the hospital, to patients spanning 80 years, to steadfast donors, to employees from all corners of the hospital—beautifully illustrate Holy Name Hospital’s long tradition of caring in the community.
