MBNA Marketing Veteran Newton Bugbee Joins Aloysius Butler & Clark as Marketing Services Director

A nineteen-year veteran of MBNA America Advertising and one of the first advertising professionals hired by the bank, Newt helped build the bank’s in-house agency. During his career at MBNA, Newt created media copy for America’s top membership associations, supervised multiple direct marketing and display advertising projects, helped develop in-house computer graphics and desktop publishing capabilities, developed creative on account acquisition and activation advertising, and assisted in the daily management of art directors and copywriters.

Newt began his career as a copywriter for Lieberman-Appalucci in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He first joined AB&C in 1984, serving as co-creative director until accepting a position with MBNA in 1986. Newt is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English.
