Aloysius Butler & Clark Receives ‘Superstars in Business’ Award
Wilmington, DE, December 10, 2009— Aloysius Butler & Clark (AB&C), a Delaware-based, full-service marketing communications firm, received the 2009 Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Award from the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce Small Business Alliance.
The Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Award honors businesses and nonprofit corporations for their outstanding achievements and model approaches to business and management. They are presented to companies that have been in business for at least three years, have fewer than 150 employees and are members of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce.
“We are proud of the unique culture we have created at AB&C that enables our success as a full-service agency,” said John Hawkins, President and CEO of AB&C. “It is an honor to be recognized by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce.”
In 2009, AB&C was named “Best in the Business” by The News Journal in the category of Top Small Firm, and Hawkins was named Top Small Business Leader. To benefit the community, AB&C has logged nearly 1,500 hours of pro bono work for groups like the MS Society of Delaware, Meals on Wheels Delaware, Rodney Street Tennis and Tutoring Association, Delaware Symphony Orchestra, St. Anthony’s Italian Festival and the Delaware Community Foundation.
The Superstars in Business awards ceremony took place November 4, 2009, at the Hotel du Pont’s Gold Ballroom. Former Governor of Delaware Pete du Pont was the keynote speaker.
