John Hawkins to Chair Delaware Community Foundation's Corporate Partners Campaign
Wilmington, DE – Fred C. Sears II, President and CEO of the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) has named John C. Hawkins, President, partner and one of the founders of Aloysius Butler & Clark (AB&C), a full-service advertising agency in Wilmington, as chairman of the Foundation’s annual Corporate Partners Campaign. Each year the Foundation partners with local businesses to help local nonprofit organizations identify and meet critical community needs throughout the state.
“We are thrilled John agreed to be this year’s Corporate Partners Campaign Chair,” noted Sears. “John is so well known for his contributions to the community, that last year the employees of Aloysius Butler & Clark honored John’s and his wife Niki’s work by establishing a fund at the DCF in their name.”
John is a member of the DCF’s Board of Directors, Chair of the Development Committee and has been a member of the DCF’s Marketing and Communications Committee since 2005.
“For more than 20 years, local businesses have helped the Delaware Community Foundation lay the groundwork for a better Delaware,” said Hawkins. “Participation in the Foundation’s Corporate Partners Campaign sends a clear message to others about the importance of building a stronger philanthropic culture and permanent source of charitable funds for the First State.”
Since the Foundation began in 1986, support through the Corporate Partners Campaign has provided funding for the human and financial resources the Foundation needs to help donors achieve their philanthropic goals.
Gifts of any amount to the Corporate Partners Campaign are needed and appreciated, according to Hawkins. Several categories of support include: Patron ($500-$999), Benefactor ($1,000-$2,499), Ambassador ($2,500-$4,999), Community Partner ($5,000-$9,999) and Community Builder ($10,000 and above).
